Birds of Paradise

In my paradise

There are many birds.

Today

The honeyeater visits

Flitting and flying in stealth mode

Beautiful bird like version of Jason Bourne.

He thinks himself unobserved

But I stand

Surveilling quietly

From my glass and brick nest.

Tea cup rattles

My Jason Bird flits off

To steal nectar

From some other flower

Somewhere else.

But in my paradise

My Jason Bourne Honey Bird

Is welcome back.

He takes nectar

But gives peace

And paints the back drop

To the sweet resting of my soul.
